Center DC has always been about the people…

In 2018, we began compensating all of our content providers. In 2019, we hired our E.D. on a part-time basis. This year, we're launching our End of Year Fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $26k to support and grow our team in big ways: by supporting the people behind the scenes who facilitate this community.

Now, it's time to take care of the people who are taking care of us and grow our organization in a way that's totally in line with our values. We need your help to put people first.

1. Growing our team

With your help, we’re planning to hire a Communications Fellow and sponsor a Community Chaplain - adding two more paid team members to serve the community. We’re also searching for more core team members to work with us behind the scene!

2. PAYING OUR TEAM

Lauren, our founding Executive Director, has been working full time hours on a part time salary. In 2021, we hope to transition her into a salary that more closely matches the work she’s putting in. Help support Lauren by #PuttingPeopleFirst!

3. Supporting Our TEAM

In 2021, we plan to train our board to increase their effectiveness and offer professional development opportunities for our dedicated core team and safe(r) space team volunteers.
